Media Lab Specialist

Taught up to 18 Media Lab classes per week, clubs, & aftercare.
Designed new lab for new school building. Start up budget allowed me to design & install a network for the whole school.

Acted as system administrator, technology support, teacher liaison for tech transition, interactive web page, student e-mail monitor. Developed new cirriculium for all ages including typing requirements for all students, ethics in media for middle schoolers, cross cirriculium projects, animation clubs, video yearbook, school publications, etc.
First year with school before new building grant, included volunteering, substituting, playground & teacher aide.

Exhibitions Graphics Manager
The High Museum of Art
Atlanta, GA

Created exhibition graphics for two locations.
Managed annual & exhibit budgets, ordered vendors for fabrications based on my designs for building banners, signage, way-finding, kiosks, photo murals, text panels, title walls & dry transfers for object labels.
Working closely with curators, education, development, membership & directors to create accessible information
for all ages of the public.
Designed new technology systems for graphics production, as the current system used typesetters: expensive & proofing was continuous. I custom made an ergonomic work station, allowing all graphics to be produced starting from the disk of a curator. Color coded proofs were sent to four departments, then final approval from exhibitions manager. Files were sent by modem to transfer vendor. Savings for the department up to 80% of previous annual budget.
Used digital camera to photograph gallery walls, allowing manipulation in Photoshop to create Presentations for director, team & curators. A hard copy with graphics on walls & future artwork in place, then color proof swatches approved. Order started.
Honored to present designs to & work closely with J. Carter Brown, curator of the Olympic Exhibition Rings: Five Passion in World Art.
Traveled to & studied the National Gallery’s system in preparation.

While in college, I first worked with the new High Museum, before the opening. Following plans for transfer system designed by architect; creating non-interuptive text on actual walls with use of transfers.
